I see this rugged cross where I take my dog for long walks. It stands strong, planted on a hill and surrounded by rocks, It strengthens me as I walk through the fields filled with birds, grasses and wildflowers. When I am tempted to worry, I am comforted by the cross because Jesus is my rock and I know he cares for me. His sacrificial love saved me. My worries turn into prayers . . . Lord, teach me to love, like you love me. Inspired by Matthew 6:25 - 34.
When I wake I thank you for another day. A new beginning, the promise I’m not alone, I’m loved today. Blessed is the one who knows you. Blessed is a love that won’t grow old, a love to cherish a love to hold. I want to love, like you, you love me.
And it’s like a picture, each day starts on a fresh page. I wake up singing with creation and my soul it’s ringing. Blessed is the one who believes you. Blessed is a love that won’t grow old, a love to cherish, a love to hold. I want to love, like you, you love me.
My joy it overflows as your words they fill my soul. They teach and give me hope with the power that sustains me. Blessed is the one who trusts you. Blessed is a love that won’t grow old, a love to cherish, a love to hold. I want to love, like you, you love me.
Teach me to love, like you love me.
